Not a half bad idea, but I'd doubt if whoever thought of AvX went to the trouble of pre-planning an unfinished arc by DnA. There also was no indication that Saal was acting as a villain. Saal is a HERO after all, even though he was insane in the supernova arc.

: Hi, Wil!
:
: I'm just making a guess but I'm thinking
: that the Point One Nova is tied to
: SuperNova. It may be that Garthan Saal (with
: Rich out of the picture) is manipulating the
: hibernating WorldMind to create his own Nova
: Corps for his own purposes. And look at the
: back of the Point One Nova's helmet in Point
: One (which is the same purple color as
: Saal's, not the normal Nova Corps gold). It
: looks to me like there's some kind of
: port/jack in the back of the helmet.
:
: If Saal doesn't have access to the WM, he
: could be powering up people through a helmet
: port. That could mean the WM itself will
: bring Rich back to stop Saal.

: Ehhh, it'll be cool for the young kids but
: Richard Rider is to the Nova Corps as Hal
: Jordan is to the Green Lantern Corps. Sam is
: wearing the exact same uniform in Point One
: so its gotta be this new kid as well in the
: Regular Marvel U. Sucks that Loeb and Joe Q
: went with this instead of bringing back Rich
: and Peter Quill. How is there a Nova Corps
: when Rich is in the Cancerverse? All the
: Corps members were de-powered...unless there
: is a new power source and Worldmind we are
: supposed to just accept and go with it? More
: will be explained but I just don't buy that
: Rich and Peter are really gone.
