: Until the entire arc has concluded - and the
: "final fate" revealed, we can't
: really call what the outcome will be. As is;
: characters remain dead or in limbo due to
: the whim of Editorial - and Editorial
: change. Any fictional scenario always has a
: get out clause if some writer cleverer than
: Dna or BMB create a means to bring a
: character back from the dead - such as
: bringing Cap back after assassination by
: having him travel back along his own time
: line. With time fractured - thanks in irony
: to BMB; temporal events are in a state of
: fluidity so yes Rich could still die at the
: end of the arc; but as they say often on
: Doctor Who; time can be re-written - all you
: need is a big spanner. Even so; if we do get
: the scenario you forsee in that murky
: crystal eyeball - I'm sure you get you're
: Rider crusade so not to disappoint the Ed's
: at Marvel Disney.

: Toldja all.
:
: Those don't sound like the words of someone
: trying to reconcile with the Rider Nova
: fans. Bendis is going to give Rich what he
: thinks is a "hero's death" - and
: then when we all complain, we'll be told
: we're just a bunch of crybaby fan boys and
: to suck it up and be glad they gave us one
: more Rider Nova story. Sound like something
: Wacker would say? Yup. That's the attitude
: of all of them. Much as I dislike Wacker,
: at least he was honest about his disdain for
: fans. Bendis is so disingenuous that he's
: already trying to re-direct the upcoming fan
: outrage at DnA!

: That's plain crap! BMB knows full well Dna
: did
: not plan to kill Rich off at the end of TTI;
: that was Marvel's mandate on the part of
: incoming Editorial to bring in a new
: direction - i.e Sam Alexander - and ditch
: the old status quo in favor of a far
: inferior one. And part of the new status quo
: was BMB -and his insistence to write GOTG.
: Of course it could be smokescreen - just
: enraging the Rider fan base to fa the flames
: to get us hyped for his arc but believe me
: folks - if things don't go well by the end
: of this OS ARC - I'll be having words with
: Nova64 to make a few changes...

: NOT reassuring. Now I'm really dreading the
: upcoming Richard Rider story. Really
: starting to dislike this guy.

: "Speaking of new readers, I imagine
: Richard Rider's very vocal fanbase will be
: interested in this story and might be
: picking up "Guardians of the
: Galaxy" for the first time because of
: it. Anything you want to say to this group
: of fans?
:
: It's funny, there are some die-hard and
: hardcore fans of DnA, god bless 'em, and
: already they're mad at me for what I've
: done. I understand loving a book's creative
: team, but they killed him. I'll take the hit
: for the stuff I've done. I've done plenty.
: You still want to yell at me for Hawkeye?
: I'll take it. I got it. I didn't kill any of
: the Guardians though!
:
:
: Star-Lord and Richard Rider face off against
: Thanos in "Guardians of the
: Galaxy" #18 interior art by Ed
: McGuinness.
: DnA killed those characters. They wouldn't
: even be around if it wasn't for us bringing
: them back. So you can get off my ass a
: little bit on this one. [Laughs]
:
: There would be no more Richard Rider stories
: at all if I wasn't writing one. So I don't
: know how else to put it. This one is not on
: me. I understand you have an affection for
: DnA, but you can't pretend they didn't write
: that part that you're mad about. It's OK to
: love and be frustrated by the work of
: creators, I do that to people all the time,
: but that's their thing. I've got my own
: stuff. I've got people mad at me that
: there's no Peter Parker in the Ultimate
: Universe. They don't know what to do with
: me. I own that, but I'm not wearing their
: sins too."
