I'm not a Sam fan, but i try hard not to crap on him too bad anymore. For a brief time, I defended him and was a reader of the book. I was just really let down by the book for its own reasons, rather than "not rich" reasons. The genre shift did play a huge role.
Post SW Mark Waid is just a helluva writer and he will be writing Sam. He'll most likely do a good job...
I just don't have much hope for a return for rich anymore. Part of me has just gotten content with not buying marvel comics anymore.

: First off,.... Hello! I've read the posts on
: here from time to time but have never
: posted. Glad there is an outlet for Nova
: info and conversation.
:
: I'm a big Nova fan...got into him with
: Annihilation.
:
: I know there is a lot of anger and hatred
: toward Sam. I get it...He is no Rich
: Rider.. his comics aren't sci-fi like
: Rider's were post Annihilation. He's young
: and drawn scrawny and unimposing. With that
: said, I still enjoy reading him. I wish the
: art was better, but I am glad to have a Nova
: in some way shape or form.
:
: With all of that said, do you guys think
: Rider...Richard or Robbie come back during
: Secret Wars? I have a hard time believing
: that Thanos, Star Lord and a host of Novas
: will be involved with no real resolution to
: the Rider bloodline. I feel like something
: will happen here. I agree with many that 2
: Novas can coexist. Rich(or Robbie) out in
: space, and Sam protecting earth with the
: All-New, All-Different Avengers. It would
: be cool to see the two work together at
: times with Richard being the seasoned vet
: and Sam being a protege type.
:
: Thoughts/opinions?
