Personally, I just recommend people buy what they like. Don't buy something because it's a habit or you think that it will keep a title going. By the same measure, don't stop yourself from buying something you like or want to try because you think boycotting a book will make a difference.
It won't.
Those of us who supported DnA's Nova series (I bought multiple copies of the issues to try and boost sales and had the comic shop owner give my extras to non-buyers in the store) got kicked to the curb hard despite the series having respectable numbers.
And boycotting a comic doesn't do anything either. What happened to Sam's title when sales got low? Did it bring Rich back? No. We get a Nova-powered episode of 'Good Times'. I'm completely with you that things done for the sake of political correctness/cultural diversity is a bunch of BS, Bill. That's why I refuse to see the new FF movie.
Rich won't return until the folks in charge at Marvel either change their mind or someone they favor presents a Rich Rider Nova pitch that they like. It doesn't mean we can't let Marvel know that we'd like Rich back. Sign the Return Rich Rider petition and maybe it will at least get Marvel to send out a request for story proposals to bring Rich back.
