The current Marvel Editorial regime either has to get new people in that is more fan-friendly to the long-time readers, less about the company bottom line(lowering the standards to the level of the younger readers & MCU-only crowd, & silly catering to the PC circus BS), or we just continue to show our support and fan devotion to Richard Rider and let Marvel know that we will not give up hope. Marvel & even DC are never going to get a Pulitzer or Nobel Prize for the cheap "diversity popularity contest" publicity stunts they have been pulling just to impress their "media friends".
The Nova Corps has always been diverse, no argument there. Its not the same without Rich being involved. Its like having a Green Lantern Corps book but totally ignoring and downplaying Hal Jordan. A Green Lantern movie without Hal Jordan just does not feel the same. You can make up all kinds of excuses to create replacements but there ain't nothing like "the real thing". Richard Rider fans need to be more vocal but it seems a number of them have also become Sam Alexander fans(very bizarre) so I see why there are not enough outspoken Rich fans as there should be.
Marvel and Disney should have a serious discussion about reintegrating Rich back into the MU in a way we all would celebrate and welcome, no compromises, no catch, no BS.

: The boycott is not working because it has not
: had acute enough results. Too many Rider
: fans are still supporting this stuff. But
: Marvel had a whole nother level involved
: with Sam as well, bucking a cartoon, toy
: onslaught and top money on the book for
: talent was no small task to sink. in short,
: the rules were different on this book than
: for some of the others. A lot was invested
: in it.
:
: The only GOTG issue to hit the top 10 was
: the Rider issue 18. Rider toys have been
: selling. We can still win.
:
: Granov is an excellent artist, so is weaver.
:
: This new series looks like a rehash of The
: road or Walking dead with some tweaked
: motifs..so do a couple of the SW books.
:
: Until Marvel repairs the Wound they ripped
: into Rich Rider fans, I won't support marvel
: comics in any form. By repair I mean
: something very specific: This means bringing
: back Richard Rider in a well executed way
: and embracing the character. I'm no
: compromise on this.
:
: The flash art for Sams series looked great.
: Some aspects about the hook there were
: promising as well...yet the series was
: gravely disappointing.
:
: The PC stuff @ marvel gets to me...but the
: Nova Corps is fine to have a diverse
: membership...I'm cool with that. The biggest
: part about it is the fact Duggan's name is
: on it and its from the same crew and
: editorial who have continued to disrespect
: us.
:
: By the time this is all done..it will be
: around 5 years since Thanos Imperative
: ended. That's too long.Damn, its too
: long...we don't deserve this shit as fans.
:
: It took me a long time to drink the
: haterade...but it does taste pretty sweet
: when you take a sip.

: I really like the Granov cover. Not too
: thrilled with the interior art though. I'll
: hesitantly give the first issue a try and
: decide if I'll keep getting it.
:
: Personally, I just recommend people buy what
: they like. Don't buy something because it's
: a habit or you think that it will keep a
: title going. By the same measure, don't stop
: yourself from buying something you like or
: want to try because you think boycotting a
: book will make a difference.
:
: It won't.
:
: Those of us who supported DnA's Nova series
: (I bought multiple copies of the issues to
: try and boost sales and had the comic shop
: owner give my extras to non-buyers in the
: store) got kicked to the curb hard despite
: the series having respectable numbers.
:
: And boycotting a comic doesn't do anything
: either. What happened to Sam's title when
: sales got low? Did it bring Rich back? No.
: We get a Nova-powered episode of 'Good
: Times'. I'm completely with you that things
: done for the sake of political
: correctness/cultural diversity is a bunch of
: BS, Bill. That's why I refuse to see the new
: FF movie.
:
: Rich won't return until the folks in charge
: at Marvel either change their mind or
: someone they favor presents a Rich Rider
: Nova pitch that they like. It doesn't mean
: we can't let Marvel know that we'd like Rich
: back. Sign the Return Rich Rider petition
: and maybe it will at least get Marvel to
: send out a request for story proposals to
: bring Rich back.

: I admit that the art is great. But this is
: still a load of politically correct BS that
: just gets in the way of Rich returning. If
: you support it, you're part of the problem -
: just like those who support (banned acronym)
: are part of the problem. Become part of the
: solution and join the boycott of (banned
: acronym) and PC-(banned acronym)-ette.
