Wolfman probably had in mind Rich to be something like his Annihilation version at the end. The only dudes smart enough to look at that kind of thing were DnA and Giffen.
FabNic s stuff was pretty great as well.

: I would still very much love to see Uncle
: Fudge's Ice Cream shop in a MCU-Nova film
: featuring Rich. Having the gang altogether
: just gives it some culture, tradition, all
: that. I only see this happening for 2 films
: until Rich is duty-bound in space full time.
: The next time Rich visits Earth, he'd be a
: seasoned veteran and has seen and done many
: things while he was away. I can see Rich
: having serious talks with both his family
: and friends. Robbie would be working at
: Project Pegasus right there with Wendell
: Vaughn and maybe even Chris Powell.

: Unfortunately, the major shake-up they are
: planning is PC-(banned acronym)-ette. It's
: pretty clear they mean for her to take
: (banned acronym's) place if she sells.
: That's why we need to boycott her, too. If
: nothing else, the theory that supporting
: some bastardized version of "Nova"
: will get Rich back to us has been thoroughly
: de-bunked by the dreadful (banned acronym)
: debacle.

: I loved the growth of Rich through the years
: and that's why i want to see him come back
: as the adult/ leader hero we saw when he
: died. I hated how Brubaker briefly degraded
: him into an aw shucks teen in his first work
: with Rich. Both Brubaker and Larsen were
: guilty of this, and despite both guys being
: big fans of Nova.
:
: So I loved the Ice cream and Marvel Burger
: days, but essentially that ship has sailed.
:
: I'd be much more open to some retro romp
: (that is what in some ways Sam is trying to
: be) if it were not for all the BS
: surrounding Rich needing to be dead.
:
: If Rich were still around and such, there
: would be about a eighth of us still around
: b###hing.
:
: Also, we must admit, Sam's book is just not
: written well. Duggan has failed to set up
: the character and endear him.
:
: Its time for a major shake up. Hopefully,
: this means Rider could return.

: I'd much rather see the Rider family in the
: MCU. And, what Nova fan wouldn't want to see
: Uncle Fudge's Ice Cream parlor come to life
: on the big screen? Seeing Rich's best
: friends Ginger, Bernie, and "Caps"
: all together at their favorite hangout!
:
: As for bullying: I know that there are
: readers who like to believe that loyal
: Richard Rider fans like myself seem like
: "cyber bullies" when it comes to
: the whole debate of should "Sam
: Alexander exist/can the two totally
: different Novas co-exist in a shared 616
: universe?"
: Well, hate to break it to the young
: generation and even to readers more my age
: group or older who seem to forget: bullying
: has been in existence since even before
: "Leave It To Beaver" or "The
: Brady Bunch". Do the young kids and
: millennials of today even know about those
: tv shows? I grew up watching "The
: Little Rascals/Our Gang" re-runs.
: Bullying of today is no different than it
: was back when I was a kid growing up in the
: 70s, 80s and 90s.I grew up with strong
: family values, moral values, Christian
: values, American and Filipino values. All of
: that has made me deal with bullies, peer
: pressure, puberty, etc. We were made of
: stronger stock, better self-esteem, and more
: respectful of our parents, our, elders and
: general people around us. Maybe not as tough
: as the kids were in the 30s & 40s but we
: got through it all just fine. I grew up in a
: pop culture where tv shows, movies, and
: cartoons shared the same values I had. Not
: really so with today's families, schools,
: society and pop culture climate. That is
: where the root of the problem is. I never
: cussed in public like many kids today do.
: They swear like sailors and I was in the
: Navy for 8 years. I hardly ever swore when I
: was active duty. Its like the kids don't
: care at all. Its unbelievable how Bizarro
: World the world has become. A kid's
: upbringing starts at home, not at school,
: and it shows the lack of discipline is
: today. Parents and teachers too scared to
: discipline their kids and students because
: of the PC world we live in today.
:
: Richard Rider was a product of the mid 70s
: with influences from the Golden and Silver
: Age. The bullying he went through did not
: make him think of suicide or become less of
: a person. He was much tougher mentally. Why
: do you think we Rider fans love the
: character so much? Not because he was some
: hipster with low-self esteem, but just an
: average guy who was very optimistic about
: life and good family upbringing. He
: resonated with me like Peter Parker had with
: fans back in the day just like he is today
: ki.
: with the young fans.
:
: Now, what was Rich's favorite ice cream
: shake flavor again?
