I think the whole Battleworld thing is a really bad, bad, bad idea. Particularly since the entire cosmos is just no there anymore.
Marvel has been saying that this is the new normal. But I am hoping that when Secret Wars ends that Doom is defeated and somehow some larger universe comes back into being.
We shall see....

: I like it quite a bit so far, but I'm still
: not sure what to think about all this
: battleworld stuff. Will it all be wiped
: away after the event?
:
: I'm still a bit upset about the G3000 run
: because that felt like it was ended abruptly
: for all this event stuff, and I've not seen
: any indication that's it's coming back
: afterwards.

:
: So after reading those two issues are you
: interested in the third?
:
: So far I am liking Hot Mom Nova quite a bit.
: Not as sure about her deputized family (and
: dislike Nova Dog Zig-Zag) but overall I am
: liking it.

: I picked up the first two issue of Infinity
: Gauntlet to see where that's going, but
: that's it from Marvel since the New Warriors
: and She Hulk were cancelled.
:
: Everything else I'm reading has been from
: Dark Horse or Image.
:
: I'm not really boycotting. They just lost
: me with the moves they've made the last few
: years.

:
: That is one point where we can agree 100%,
: *grin*
:
: Let the quality drive it. If you like it,
: but it. If you don't, don't.
:
: Nostalgia should not drive you to either
: purchase or boycott. I actually made a
: mistake with this when I kept purchasing Sam
: Alexander issues after losing interest
: (though it regained some towards the end).
:
: I am not so much bothered by the shake-up of
: characters. That always happens. I just do
: not like the entire Battleworld idea where
: the whole damned universe is gone and there
: is just this one place. It does not
: service the cosmic side of Marvel to not
: have a huge universe of inhabited planets
: out there.

: They will eventually, just keep it up. But
: rest assured IMO you shouldn't do the
: boycott just to prove a point, at the end of
: the day , this product just isn't good...and
: that is why you should not buy.
:
: As I've said, I can;t say for sure if a
: boycott will work. I wish I could. I cannot
: fully dismiss the crowd that says
: "maybe marvel will get petty and
: mothball ANY Nova product"..
:
: Guys like Tom B and Joe Q can get petty..or
: so it seems.
:
: But at the end of the day, these are my hard
: earned bucks in my pocket. What gets me , is
: that I'm not going to spend them on bad
: stuff...especially stuff w/o Rich Rider.
: That's the whole point in my boycott..

: Just wondering; it's been close to a year
: that
: I've bought any comics, and I used to spend
: about $200 a month on comics. Most of my
: displeasure came about due to the
: disappearance of Richard Rider, but there is
: also my disgust of the path the Avengers had
: been taking. Anyway...I have to believe
: that there are a bunch of other comic book
: fans that have felt/feel the same way. So I
: have to ask; doesn't Marvel miss our money?
