I think Nova shows up in a movie and potentially gets one of his own down the line. Sadly, I don't think it will be RR. IMO I think Marvel realizes that an origin story about a kid from NY who gets selected by a dying alien is cliche and has pretty much been done before.(this can be null and void if they decided to skip his origin) Thus, the change. If they plan on a Nova movie down the line, and they want it to do well, it would be best for them to come up with a new back story and character. If my hunch is anywhere in the ballpark, I'm cool with it. However, you have to up the quality of Sam's comic. Otherwise fans of the comics will be less inclined to venture to the theaters.
