So folks, a challenge perhaps as part of next year's 40th anniversary for the Man Called Nova; what would be your ideal origin story for a Nova film? Bucketheads on...
: So I got to thinking the other night. Marvel
: clearly likes having a Nova character. We
: have Sam, Jesse and the IG family. If they
: didn't like the character, they wouldn't be
: doing this.
: I think Nova shows up in a movie and
: potentially gets one of his own down the
: line. Sadly, I don't think it will be RR.
: IMO I think Marvel realizes that an origin
: story about a kid from NY who gets selected
: by a dying alien is cliche and has pretty
: much been done before.(this can be null and
: void if they decided to skip his origin)
: Thus, the change. If they plan on a Nova
: movie down the line, and they want it to do
: well, it would be best for them to come up
: with a new back story and character. If my
: hunch is anywhere in the ballpark, I'm cool
: with it. However, you have to up the
: quality of Sam's comic. Otherwise fans of
: the comics will be less inclined to venture
: to the theaters.
