We could still get Rich mentioned in Agents of SHIELD and then see him guest in an MCU film. Same for Quasar(Wendell Vaughn)all we need is Kevin Feige's say so. btw, in addition to Nova/Richard Rider mail envelope art, I am also working on some for Quasar and Darkhawk.
I'm aware that Jeph Loeb is still involved in the tv and animated Marvel projects but we can still make it possible for Rich to be our Nova guy in the MCU.

: I'd have to disagree entirely with you
: regarding any Nova flim not using Richard
: Rider mate. Okay the 70's origin story is I
: agree not exactly original. We all get the
: enduring comparisions to a certain Hal
: Jordan; but there's no reason why he can't
: be the star and do a more contemporary
: origin for him, after adapting origins is
: after Ant-Man the new in-thing for the MCU.
: Fact is, with Rhomman Dey, the Xandarian who
: deputised/drafted RR featured in GOTG, the
: potential first step is there; all it takes
: is for Kevin Feige to green light it as he's
: now doing with other obscure properties for
: Phases 3 onwards. I know for sure I would
: not want to see SA front and centre. But I
: have to say with partial begrudgment that
: the current Baikan family origins are pretty
: cool; except for the das't dog!
:
: So folks, a challenge perhaps as part of
: next year's 40th anniversary for the Man
: Called Nova; what would be your ideal origin
: story for a Nova film? Bucketheads on...

: So I got to thinking the other night.
: Marvel
: clearly likes having a Nova character. We
: have Sam, Jesse and the IG family. If they
: didn't like the character, they wouldn't be
: doing this.
:
: I think Nova shows up in a movie and
: potentially gets one of his own down the
: line. Sadly, I don't think it will be RR.
: IMO I think Marvel realizes that an origin
: story about a kid from NY who gets selected
: by a dying alien is cliche and has pretty
: much been done before.(this can be null and
: void if they decided to skip his origin)
: Thus, the change. If they plan on a Nova
: movie down the line, and they want it to do
: well, it would be best for them to come up
: with a new back story and character. If my
: hunch is anywhere in the ballpark, I'm cool
: with it. However, you have to up the
: quality of Sam's comic. Otherwise fans of
: the comics will be less inclined to venture
: to the theaters.
