Well, it is comics. So dead is never really dead. Particularly when someone dies associated with a universe with no death!
But it was never really stated before; only implied.
I do like the idea of Sam connecting to the Nova Corps more. Remember when he found an old Nova facility? That was pretty cool. I would like to see more of that.
I'd like to see him in more cosmic adventures where people are estatic that a Nova corpsman has come to save the day.
And, damn it. I want to see him save Richard Rider and see Rider become the new Nova Prime. But it does not look like that is happening anytime soon.
: Well, feel that Ryan knew and definitely under
: Editorial mandate. Or find a loophole by
: making Rich as computer AI/Novaforce thingy.
: About Nova Origins, I feel that Sam
: discovering (or already know if his mom told
: him) that he's half-Xandarian, possibly of
: royal blood. Maybe Jesse might be sibling of
: Queen Adora (maybe he ditched them after
: felling in love with Eva) or long-line of
: Nova Centurions (though we did see him
: tweaking with helmet and working in ship's
: engine back in Black Nova years, possibly
: from Engineering caste).

: The article headline sounds hopeful but
: there is really sour news in here:
: "Nrama: I have to ask, because fans
: seem to demand it, will we see any sign of
: Richard Rider in the new Nova series?
: Ryan: Maybe? I donít want to get peopleís
: hopes up, like heís going to be coming back
: from the dead or anything, but Iíd like to
: fit Richard into the story somehow, to show
: Sam the legacy of the Novas that heís now
: taking on."
: So it sounds like Sam will be learning about
: Richard Rider in more depth. I could
: envision maybe seeing some record or
: something. But it sounds to me like there
: is no hope of bringing Richard back in this
: series. Which is a real downer, because I
: was hoping that the series was going to have
: Sam investigating Nova origins (as promised)
: culminating is the rescue of Richard Rider.
: Now I have a sad.
