Does the current people in charge at Marvel Comics have plans to do the right thing and truly honor Richard Rider? Or do they simply continue to mostly ignore and belittle the character like they have been doing lately? Original Sin may have been an attempt to be a Final Solution Farewell but instead only made things worse and was not fully accepted by the majority of Nova fans. Not just because of the supposed "final" fate of the character but mainly the poorly executed and how unbelievably out of character Rider, Quill, Drax, Thanos, Revengers, and even the Cancerverse itself seemed out of place compared to when we last saw of them in The Thanos Imperative.
2016 could have been the year longtime Nova fans could all celebrate the 40-year old Marvel character finally being featured in the MCU. Either a guest appearance or solo film. There could have been animated adaptations to Annihilation. Sure, the GOTG film featured the Nova Corps of Xandar and Rohman Dey but there was no Richard Rider, no Worldmind, no Nova Force. The Nova Vol.4 series helped create the GOTG Vol. 2 series and both were the basis of the MCU film : current GOTG team, Knowhere, Cosmo, etc yet Terran Richard Rider was fully discarded because he would distract and detract from Peter Quill, who is only actually half-Terran.
As many of you know, San Diego Comic Con celebrates anniversaries every year and asks fans to submit art that can be selected to be published in their free Souvenir Book. Do you think Nova/Richard Rider will be among the anniversaries being celebrated?
I had two of my submissions published in the 2010 edition: DC 75th Anniversary and the Beetle Baily 60th Anniversary. Both were done traditionally on paper. The past few SDCC books seemed to focus mainly on digital art so that would be the way to go it seems. If Nova is included as a recognized anniversary, I will still submit art done traditionally since I still currently do not have the cool art programs installed on my computer and I still have yet to learn how the programs work anyway.
One last thought: for those that have seen Star Wars EPVII, I'm sure I was not the only one who immediately thought of the Cancerverse Undying Ones during the Rathtars chase scenes?

: end of the year, is the hope and promise of
: what is to come in the new year. I think I

: 2016 will be the year that Richard Rider
