Posted by Paul Garner 1955-1956 on 2/24/2006, 1:49 pm While not a member of the school, I was stationed at Wheelus from 1955-1956 with the 7th Air Rescue Group as a very young man (18) and did get to know some of the school members. Unfortunately, at 69, memory fails me as to names except that there was a Robert, a Bill and a lovely dark haired girl named Gail (or Gayle). Our administrative headquarters and barracks were in what was called the quad. There were six U shaped buildings and ours was the middle building on the east side. The site brought back many fond memories (and some not quite so fond). Paul Garner, USAF (Retired)
