I remember the 6-day war. Iwas in the 3rd grade . Afamily off base came to stay with us but I remember my dad CMSGT Troy A Meeks telling us we were gonna have to leave and my dog and horse was going to have to stay. I remember the bus picked us up in teh front yard. My mom was afraid of flying. The Plane was a cargo plane with the net seats that had just returned unloading troops in Vietnam. Our plane lost power to 2 engines due to some damage that happened in Vietnam. We were sent to Spangdallen, Germany. We did return to Wheelus for a couple of months then we all left even my dad. Does anyone remember CMSGT Troy A. Meeks? Worked at the "BIG HANGAR".
