cockpit scupper thru hull

Hi,
We are looking for ideas on how to modify our cockpit scupper and thru hull.
We are concerned about not having a seacock.
We are also concerned abut the occasional flooding of our cockpit floor when motoring at 4 to 5 knots or with following seas.
We have been renovating our hull #12 WindWalker for the past two years. We think this is one of the last details to be worked out.
This will be our second summer sailing in the San Juans and Canadian Sunshine Coastal waters. She sails very well.
