Has anyone removed their rudder? I can't seem to get mine out of the boat. I've removed the bronze gudgeon and the tiller hardware. I was thinking the rudder should just drop right out but but it won't. I've been punding on the top of the post with a sledge hammer with some progress but very little. Does anyone have any experience with this? It almost seems like it wasn't designed to drop out the bottom but I can't imagine why they would design it like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
