The original hatches were of two types, fiberglass or wooden frames w/acrylic. These were made by Yankee. The Lewmar Ocean 60 hatches are nice. That's what is installed on Eagle, which was last seen over in Sausalito. You could also fit a Bomar hatch. My recollection is that the opening on my boat is 19.5". Most of these hatches require a cut-out a little larger - just under 20".
