Has anyone bit the bullet and removed the headliner from the boat? I'm considering doing this primarily for easier access to various fittings. Rather than replacing it, can one simply clean and paint the underlying surfaces? It may not look as elegant but it does simplify things somewhat (and make it easier to spot leaks early.
