We painted our Yankee 30 topsides with Detco/Sterling LP paint. We did both primer and finish coats with roller & paint brush. We are very pleased with the result but it was a LOT of work.
If I had it to do all over, I would have sprayed the primer coat and then rolled & tipped the finish coat. The primer doesn't 'level' like the finish coat & it is difficult to sand back to a smooth finish.
: I am debating painting the topsides. The
: gelcoat is gradually wearing and I think it
: would be beneficial to
: paint the topsides. I have redone the
: non-skid and painted it--- Worked find but I
: have not painted the topsides or other areas
: of the deck. Any advise??????? Thanks.
