Well, I bought "The Dog House" Hull #104. She's been sailing on Lake Ontario. I'd like to find out the former names so I can make sure when I rename her I can address all previous incarnations during the renaming ceremony. I opened up the keel to hull connection to address the hollow areas. I plan to fill and fair, but am wondering if I should use glass clothe to make a perfectly smooth transition? My local boatyard suggested that I use LifeCaulk Polysulfide at the joint to allow for expansion differences between the lead keel and the fiberglass above. I'm wondering if I should use glass cloth and resin to make a more permanent structural seal there.
Any help would be appreciated!
