We have re-rigged several Y-30's over the years and I don't think the Mk1 .vs. Mk3 is a simple comparison. Many of the boats that were commisioned for the SF Bay had their rigs shortened and I have Hull#3 and it's rig dimensions don't match any of the various rigs specified. I would reccomend sailing any prospective boats and measuring any rigs that you consider buying.
