Yes, of course there would be opportunity for discussing the expressions. The only thing I'm not sure about is where to put the discussions. They could be linked to the page with the lyrics, or they could be here on the Message Board. I'm leaning towards the Message Board, possibly with links to the relevant threads placed by me on the pages with the relevant lyrics.
: ...plus, would there be opportunity to discuss
: the various quaint and regional
: expressions/idioms and their origins/meanings
: ... i.e. it helps to know 'catch the Katie'

: See recent CD Blind Lemon Jefferson: :
: "Long Lonesome Blues: Lemon's Texts
: Revealed" from Arbiter Records , on
: which I provided some suggestions on the
: lyrics. Here's what I hear for those two
: parts: : If I could shine my light like a
: headlight on
: some train
: I would shine my light in Colorado Springs
: I'm going to the river, gonna walk it up and
: down
: If I don't find ??? (no idea on this part)
: What do people think of this idea I've been
: thinking about? I'd like to put on my
: website a section containing my take on the
: lyrics of alot of blues from the 1920s and
: 1930s. It wouldn't be done in slavish
: chronological order, but perhaps I'd post a
: combination of what I'm most interested in
: and some of what people request. So often
: these lyrics either misunderstood or not
: understood at all.

: I've been having trouble trying to figure
: out
: a few of the lyrics to Wartime Blues. Like
: "...If I could shine like a headlight on
: some train, I'd shine my light
: and...?..." And "...I'm going to
: the river walking up and down I don't
: find...?... I'm going to jump overboard and
: drown." Any idea what he might be saying
: there? Thanks.
