Blind Blakes' "Black Dog Blues" lyrics

Hi
I was wondering if anyone has been playing/singing this song? I have Stefan Grossmans'"Ragtime Blues Guitarists" book which gives for the last chorus the following lyrics:
"So long black dog, I'm quittin' your hard luck line. (2x)
'Cause you got me so blue, keep 'bout to love her sometime."
Somehow this doesn't sound like anything I hear on the record, but since I am not a native english speaker (I'm from Finland (!)), it's very hard for me to try to figure out what Blake is actually singing.
I would be very grateful for any comment or suggestion.
