Ari,
I was wondering if there were any pieces in Country Blues by players whom you've never figured out any tunes by previously, that you've felt like, "I really have got to figure out that song some day."? The reason I ask is that the recordings out there are very numerous but not infinite, and a high percentage of stuff, even by players one really likes, may not be interesting or distinctive enough to justify the time involved in doing a transcription.
Just as an example of performances that would fall into this category for me are several by Smith Casey: "Shorty George", "Hesitation Blues" and "West Texas Blues". I haven't gotten around to them yet, but intend to at some point. Are there any tunes, excluding ones by players you've specialized in, that you feel that way about?
All best,
Johnm
