I finally got around to trying those Callicot tunings you indicated, and I thought my guitar had developed serious problems. Playing along with the CD, I couldn't find a single correct note anywhere on the neck. He is tuned in standard, but half a note flat (or sharp). That is, an E is neither an E nor and E-flat, but halfway between the two. Once that fell into place, it got simple. I wonder what he tuned to.
