Saw Ari for the 1st time last night in Prospect Park Brooklyn & was mesmerized by his playing & singing. I was first introduced to this type of music in the 70's by guitarist Jorma Kaukonen & have seen quite a few others play this style of music, but very few stack up to Ari's talent. I have fiddled around with Blind Blakes"That Will Never Happen No More & Police Dog Blues" & about a half dozen other songs in open or alternate tunings, but what I play is much more bare bones, so to speak. I am a new fan & can't wait until the next time he is in New York.
