I assume you're talking about Furry Lewis' song. I don't know about Jerry Ricks' version but I remember the instruction album "How To Play Blues Guitar" from the mid 60s by an adolescent Stefan Grossman and Rory Block and they played "Turn Your Money Green" in Open D (DADF#AD). I still have the tablature for it too.
