I'm just glad to know its not me and it is a glitch with something or someone else. It drove me a little crazy for a long time till I finally wrote here about it.
: Hi Bob:
: Both CDs have 14 tracks, so this only adds
: to the confusion. Probably what happened is
: that the person who submitted the info to
: the database that WMP uses entered the info
: for TWNHNM when YDU was in the CD drive--a
: simple mismatch. It's possible they they
: were doing both CDs at the same time and
: made a basic error of sequence, but didn't
: catch it. I use iTunes and have found that
: the Gracenote database is full of errors.
: Since end users submit the info, it is a
: occupational hazard.
: There's an old joke: "Ten thousand
: parts in the modern automobile, but it's the
: 'loose nut behind the wheel' that causes the
: most problems." In the computer world,
: it's the "loose nut behind the
: keyboard"--present company excluded, of
: It may be possible to submit a revised track
: list to the WMP database. I know that it can
: be done in iTunes, so you might check to see
: if it can be done for WMP.
: My Best,
: --Previous Message--
: Thanks Stuart
: At least now I know I am not crazy. It is
: a repeatable error. Use WMP and rip YDU
: and you will find all the info for TWNHNM
: will come up and gets put in "My
: Music". And what is ripped (and will
: play back) is all the songs from YDU.
: Wrong info, right songs. Weird huh.
: I love this computer stuff but only when it
: works right.
