Frank, thanks for the info ... will this duo drift toward the East coast anytime soon? I learned of Steve's music a few years back and immediately went out and found his records and am happy to hear he's perfoming again...BTW, I saw you perform at Godfrey Daniels a few months back w/ Paul Geremia...great show, loved the sound of your J-35...mind telling us how you hooked up w/ Steve? Is his repertoir and playing style similar to his 70's work? ...thanks for the info and good luck on your tour...
: Steve Mann, the fingerstyle guitarist who has
: influenced so many players, is reemerging
: onto the scene after a 25+ year hiatus. He
: and I will be performing together at the
: EPIC ARTS STUDIOS (www.epicarts.org) in
: Berkeley CA on July 16 with a pending house
: concert on the 17. The show will be billed
: as Frank Fotusky featuring Steve Mann. He
: has a new CD coming out as do I. This should
: prove to be a great event. In case you are
: unfamiliar with Steve, he was the
: inspiration for Jorma Kaukonen's Mann's
: Fate, Stefan Grossmann's Blues For the Mann,
: performed with Janis Joplin, was in the
: Mothers of Invention, and performed on and
: arranged some of the early Sonny & Cher
: albums. That is a short list
:
: For the uninitiated, you can check out a
: website dedicated to Steve at

: Thanks for letting me post this message.
