I had a lot of help from you guys on the other side of the Atlantic last fall. I still have not ditched my Dobro and probably won't. This Dobro is from 1991, has a bell brass body and biscuit bridge. It has the Hawaiian sandblasted scene and looks like a National with f holes. I am waiting to get Nationals CD on which they compare various styles of Nationals. This should help make my choice, but I will probably get a Dephi deluxe steel bodied. I'v managed to master all the sides on Ari's BBF video and now moving on to the Blind Lemon Jefferson one, I'm using a Gibson J-180 for that, which sounds great.
Incidentally, someone was asking about practice times. I am a pure amateur and only perform in the company of family and friends. I make lots of mistakes, but I practice all of my modest repertoire at least twice a week and practice about 1-2 hours most days. New songs take weeks of constant effort and bore everyone around me. Any advice or comment welcome.
