Posted by George V in IN on January 16, 2003, 8:53 am Yesterday I ran across a different instructor who teaches Travis style picking. While it still isn't blues, it is fingerstyle. I am considering a change but because of the improvement in my playing and that I am reasonably unfamiliar (with the exception of 1 cd) with this style of fingerpicking, I am hestitant. I am curious what more experienced players might think of the circumstances, especially those who are familiar with both styles . . . any opinions and/or advice would be most appreciated. For the last couple of months I have been studying with a teacher learning mostly jazz chords, some scales and some theory. It has certainly improved my fingerstyle blues playing.
