Not trying stir up anything one way or the other, but there are several promotions throughout the southern states that have used or are presently using the SECW name. The Hanceville show is just one of many. The real issue about the name use is that it simply is not under trademark with anyone, so it's fair game.
The only thing I like about the SECW name use is that they refer to themselves as SECW, whereas the original promotion was always referred to as "Southeastern Wrestling". Anyway, neither here nor there.
I just saw on their board that they are changing their name. So I guess everybody wins.
Hats off to all the great information from OLD SCHOOL for all the hard work. Nice to see real intelligent posts!
