a question about those BLUE GLOWING ORBS

Do our loves ones make those KNOWN to us on purpose?
I ask because both time I saw the orbs, I was lying in bed. What if I was in the other room? I would never have seen them. Or do they make them appear in the room we are in, on PURPOSE?
