Please do not fret. While I love Dr. Charles Stanley and find him to be an inspiring speaker, I vigorously disagree with him on these very important points, Hon. :-)
I believe the Catholic Church would disagree with his take also, because they believe in afterlife apparitions and believe that our loved ones can visit us to give us guidance in our lives here on earth, as evidenced by the saints who have done this.

I don't know if you have my book, Heaven Talks To Children, but in my book I give evidence of how people in Heaven come back to visit us to help us here on earth.
Also, everyone in Heaven knows what is going on on earth and prays for us and our world, Hon.
We do remember our lives on earth and how we interacted with others. We even try to make up for our shortfalls in Heaven by helping those back here on earth.
In Heaven they can view the past and the present and if God allows, can view the future.
I do agree with Dr. Stanley that in Heaven there is no suffering or pain, just joy, joy, joy! However, part of their service work is to help us back here on earth, because they want us to be closer to God and to be the best that we can be too!
Please be at peace about this. Dr. Charles Stanley, like other devoted ministers, are not infallible. You know from the many afterlife signs that you have received from Cap, that he loves you and continually tries to help you in your life, Hon. You are very loved :-)
God bless you,
Lovingly,
In Christ's Love,
Chris
