I approached him cautiously as to be respectful of his personal space. I told him that I knew it took enormous courage for him to come to school. I also told him that I would do anything I can for him, and to call me if he ever is in need.
Tomorrow, I will check with his teachers to see if there is anything I can do to help him graduate. I know he has an A in my class, but that he is not doing well in other classes. I hope his other teachers can find it in their hearts to help him get across the stage.
I wanted to give K something. Lately, I have introduced stress balls and other fidget items in my classes. My students really like them, a lot. So do I. I told K that I had introduced these things recently. I showed him two different kinds of stress balls and asked him if he would like one of them.
He smiled his radiant smile, and said that yes, he could really use one. He picked a really nice one. Just so happened that I had a new one of the kind he liked. I was pleased to be able to give it to him.
I thank everyone in advance for your continued prayers for K.
I hope, Dear Lord, that it is Your will that K graduate with his current class at my school. Please help him get through these very tough days, and do well with his school work. Please help his teachers open their hearts to him to help him graduate and get his diploma from our school.
Thank You very much, Father, for all the blessings you give us.
Amen.
