He also recently accepted help - a nurse will now administer his meds to him. He has gotten somewhat forgetful, and it is possible he was not taking all the meds he should have been taking.
He needs more help than having a nurse stop by once a day to give him his meds. I realized this as I spent parts of some days with him this past week. A family member who has power of attorney has been contacted and I expect will get him proper assistance for this stage of his life.
Those are updates on his physical condition and the help he has accepted, and more help that will soon be there for him to help him with daily activities/chores, etc. In another aspect of his life, I wonder how he feels about living and what his thoughts and feelings are about dying. I don't know if I will get to have conversations with him around these topics, though I would like to. I pray that opportunities present themselves for this, and that I may be of assistance to him, if nothing else, than as a caring listener to a man who is very well up there in years.
