message from my daughter?

This morning I was thinking that I hadn't had communication from our daughter Catherine for a long time, perhaps years. I lay down and tried to focus on her and decided to let my thoughts flow into a kind of conversation in my head. It didn't seem to be working too well, so I stopped and went to do a little cleaning of our guest room which was Catherine's room for a short period of time before we had to move to a nearby town to take over a business we owned. Rather absent mindedly I went through a drawer which turned out to have some bereavement cards from friends and strangers who had contributed to a scholarship in her name at the pre school she attended. In the middle of the cards was an excerpt from a diary or letter that Catherine had written when she was about 15 oe 16. She described how she imagined her old age to be, and how she and her husband would be looking at the sunset from her porch. She said that because of her upbringing she had learned to appreciate the simple things in life, and had no interest in having a Mercedes or spoiled kids. Well there was more to it, but essentially I got the feeling that she was appreciative of her childhood and the values we gave her. Meanwhile about the same time my husband had been searching for a CD which he needed for his Lenten prayers and Easter preparation. He thought he had lent it to someone, but wasn't sure. He finally decided he would have to buy another one when suddenly he noticed something unfamiliar on a shelf, I think it was shoes or something misplace. It turned out to be the missing CD which he had been searching for for weeks
