Savonburg, Base 48 ,

My Aunt Johanna Sofia Johansson, wife of J. A. Johansson, wrote some letters to my Grandmother dated March 28, 1893, from address called , "Savonburg, Allen County, Kansas, Base 48. " Does anyone know of these persons or what Base 48 was.
Johanna died March 16, 1893, ( I believe in Savonburg). She had 5 children and we believe the family all moved back to Sweden sometime after she died. Her childrens names were Anna, Jenny, Ingrid,Amanda and Ernst.
I have looked at the Cemetery listings for Savonburg but do not find her name listed.
Any Help?
