Imogene(Gene) Frazier

My mother, Imogene Frazier was born in Iola on May 26, 1919...Died 2002. She was adopted at the hospital by James & Ella Mae Frazier. I would like to find out more about her biological parents. I'm thinking of traveling to Iola in June of 2004 and could use some help in my research..like suggestions on where I should look to find any records that may survive...we don't even have a birth certificate.
