I am hoping someone can help me locate this family - My gg-grandfather, George Washington Patton, was living with his son in Deer Creek, Allen County, Kansas in 1880:
John W. PATTEN Self M M W 30 IL
Occ: Farmer Fa: OH Mo: IN
Emerlize PATTEN Wife F M W 23 IN
Occ: Keeping House Fa: PA Mo: IN
Jonh PATTEN Son M S W 4 KS
Fa: IL Mo: IN
Geo. O. PATTEN Son M S W 1 KS
Fa: IL Mo: IN
Geo. W. PATTEN Father M W W 60 OH
Occ: Farmer Fa: VA Mo: VA
I have not yet found George Washington Patton in the 1900 census and perhaps he has died by this date, but I cannot yet confirm that as I also have not been able to locate his son John, whom he was living with in 1880. I do, however, find George's grandson, John W. Patton, still living in the same Township in 1900 as a boarder with a farmer named Christofer Mille. In the 1920 census records, it shows John, Sr. had another son in 1900 Missouri. I show John W. Patton's wife to be Emerellis Dalong, born 1857 in Indiana, married 09-23-1873 in Anderson County, Kansas.
