Hello – I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about the following: I lived in Australia for about four years and applied for a PR visa during my last year in the country. The visa was approved and I completed the process, but I had moved back to the US at that point. I have the PR visa in my passport and returned to Australia for a short stay so that it would be activated. I think I have about two years left on this visa but am now living in the US. Is it possible for the visa to be renewed if I am outside Australia? Are there any requirements that need to be met so that it can be renewed? or will I end up losing the visa if I do not move back before it expires? Or is this visa not valid because I have been outside of the country? Just wondering if anyone else was ever in this situation. Thanks for any ideas. I was hoping to come back some day, but time moves very fast.
