There is a place in Chatswood that I have used to hire items - Party Time Hire Halloween party supplies - plenty of options - Party stores now carry a lot of Halloween decorations - There is one in Glebe - Carnival & Toy - Phone, 9660 7844, 20 Bridge Rd, Glebe - open til 7pm on Thursdays or Saturday 9-4pm Carving pumpkins - I get mine every year at Harris Farms (Broadway) - although they haven't had them yet. I went by yesterday and the guy took my name and number and said he would try to order me one and ring me when it came in. The other option I thought about was getting a giant pumpkin of a different variety - Jap? Blue? and spray painting it orange, you can even glitter them (a la Martha Stewart) - it's not quite the same, but it is something. Good luck!
