Posted by John Murphy --Previous Message-- I opened a Bank Of America account before I left, and took the VISA Debit checkcard I attached to it. I was then able to go to any Westpac branded ATM and get cash without any fees from Bank Of America due to the fact that they are in a ATM partnership of some sort. I then opened up an Westpac Australia account with the Debit MasterCard. I sent the activated card via FedEx to my mom in St. Louis. So now, She can send me money instantly by going to a BOA counter and putting money into my BOA account, I can use my Checkcard to withdraw that cash from a Westpac ATM and put it into my Westpac account via a simple cash deposit. And, I can send money back by having mom take money out using the Westpac Debit card I sent her and she can get my cash out if she needs it. Beat the Banks!
