Posted by Heather One thing I did discover is that some magazines will change your address on a current subscription without charging you the international rate until your subscription runs out. So if you have any magazines you really like, renew now and then change your address. Good luck with the move. Don't forget it will be hot and sticky in Sydney in January. --Previous Message--

We basically did the same thing, although we had it forwarded to my husband's local office in the US and they culled the junk and sent on anything that looked important.
: We had our mail forwarded by USPS to a friend
: in the same city - they will do it for up to
: a year. Our friends gathered a pile and sent
: mail to us in a large envelope. They pitched
: the junk mail and via email/phone we could
: tell them what was important or not.
: It is a free service in the US unlike here
: where you pay to have your mail forwarded.

: This is probably a stupid question, but what
: did you guys do with your US mail when you
: moved to Sydney? We pay all of our bills
: online, but what about the rest of it? My
: husband and I are moving to Sydney in
: January. Thank you. Alissa P.S. Go Bucks!
