Hi Tami,
We moved to Sydney from KC this last May with our three kids and our pup Taylor. You might look into getting a relocation service (sometimes paid for by your company). I would be happy to email you their contact information. They help us to find a four bedroom house in Turramurra (sub. about 45 min. train ride into city)that is dog friendly with a fenced in yard and pool. We didn't have to pay an additional bond but had to agree to pay for any damage that he caused.
