Hey guys,
Me and a buddy of mine have just graduated from university and are planning on living and working in Sydney for a year or two. We're in the process of getting our blue cards, so our residency status should be shipshape.
I just have a few general questions:
Is finding employment relatively easy for educated americans? We're not looking for careers, obviously, but hopefully something better than waiting tables.
Also, what kind of rent are we looking at for a cheap apartment?
Will we need a car? or is public transit widely available?
How much money should we bring?
My friend is wanting to do London, but being from Texas, I'm trying to convince him we'd be much happier in the more warm, hospitable, and better exchange rate down under.
