It can be tough with traffic in Sydney so it can be a huge advantage to live on a good transport line for your workplace.
Do you or your husband have a job lined up & if so, do you know which area in Sydney?
Generally, I'd really recommend to avoid living in the South West of Sydney or the West. Social & racial problems. If you look at a map of Sydney you can circle "Blacktown", "Punchbowl", "Lidcombe", "Liverpool" & "Mount Druitt", totally avoiding these areas & surrounds. Just nasty places.

: Thank you. We have started looking at some of
: the real estate sights, but any information
: on primary schools and overall nice
: neighborhoods would be appreciated. My

: Google maps is a great way of seeing where
: everything is in Sydney. Parents on this
: site can give you a good guide on schools
: for the respective age of your kids.
: It will be more expeinsive but it is a
: bloody good place to live

: My husband, myself & our two kids will
: be
: moving to Sydney in November. Any
: recommnedations on nice neighborhoods? We
: want to be pretty close to the water. Also,
: do you recommend searching real estate
: websites or getting a realtor to find a
: place? I would prefer a house over an
: apartment building. We are aware that things
: are terribly expensive, but I am not sure
: where to start.
: Thanks,
