Not sure how old your kids are - but we just moved 1 week ago (family of 5 - all kids under 5!). I've been traveling here for quite awhile, so know the area pretty well. We decided to settle in Newington - great family area, good schools, close to the city, newer homes (Newington was the old Olympic village), and rent is much better than many similar areas. Other areas aren't bad - just expect healthy commutes, tolls, and longer drives to civilization.
