Hi Kelly,
Check out the International Grammar School in the city. The cater from pre-school to year 12 and are used to dealing with students coming from the northern hemisphere mid year.
The are big on languages, music, art, and all the other normal subjects. The school is a ten minute walk from Central Station, so kids come from all over the city.

: We are looking at a potential move to Sydney
: from Dubai. My 3 children are enrolled in an
: American school here.
: My daughter will have 2 years of high school
: to finish, so I want to find a school with
: an IB program and an expat community.
: American International School seems too
: small (only 6 graduating seniors last
: year?), and I have looked at Redlands on
: line.
: Can anyone please share their experiences
: with their High school aged children at
: these schools, or offer other school
: suggestions?
: (I also have 8 and 12 yr old boys to place.)
: I am confused about what grade children are
: placed in if they start school in July- if
: my high schooler has finished 10th grade,
: would she repeat 1/2 of 10th grade or only
: get 1/2 of 11th grade?
: Also, what do graduating seniors do as far
: as beginning university in the US- wait six
: months?
: many thanks!
