Places for thanksgiving in Sydney

Hi everyone, my boyfriend's Texan and I'd like to find somewhere in Sydney to go on Thanksgiving that might be having a little celebration (not quite as big or formal as the American Society's gala, though it sounds great!) ... or even just a place where a lot of Americans like to go out.

Does anyone have any tips?
